The essence of Countryside Luxury
About the Land
History of Karunguru Estate
In 1928, the Glassford family established the original farm and planted the first coffee trees on this land. In 1974, Hon. Geoffrey Karekia Kariithi and Mrs. Mary Wangeci Kariithi acquired the 300-acre property, renaming it Karunguru in honour of Hon. Geoffrey’s late father. They expanded the farm and built upon its legacy, embedding their family’s heritage deeply into the land

Our Commitment to Nature & Sustainability
At Karunguru Gated Community, living well goes hand in hand with caring for the environment. The estate is designed to preserve and enhance its natural setting through thoughtful landscaping that uses indigenous plants and trees. These thrive with less water and maintenance, creating a resilient and beautiful environment year-round.
The project’s sustainability plans aim to integrate eco-friendly design into daily life. Solar energy will power shared spaces to reduce environmental impact. Roads will include Tree-lined walkways and bicycle paths to support safer, low-emission movement and enhance daily well-being.
From landscaping to energy use, every planned feature is intended to create a healthier, more balanced community.
